This week, some more backstory for The Solitude of the Tentacled Space Monster, focusing on an entirely different character. I’m enjoying this because it’s helping me come to grips with some of the elements of that novel that aren’t quite working for me yet. But I realized about halfway through this story that it’s too ambitious and complex to fit into my normal “Story of the Week” slot, so I’m breaking one of the rules I set for myself with this project: that each story be a complete story. T
